Setting the Christmas Table

As mentioned earlier . . . I have been thinking (mostly at 4am . . . when the birds & Henry both wake) about our Christmas Table set-up for this year.

I am totally wrapped in this fabric, recently purchased but very worried seafood sauce will ultimately be its downfall. Thus rendering it a table cloth for the rest of its days.

So this morning I played around a little bit & came up with two options.
What do you think? Table Style 1 or 2!??
Cast your vote in the comments section.

Table Style 1- A Little Bit of Pretty

Table Style 2-  Black & White Stripe Fantastic

I mentioned our wedding china setting way back here, and more ribbons will soon be added to my shop here.

So, after all of that table setting hoohah. . .  I had a thought . .. what if the pretty fabric were used instead for a lampshade thereby ensuring longevity.
What the hell, vote on that too!

And this is not related, but here is the wallpaper I've just bought sitting in position.
I like it.
Tim asked 'why do we want Chinese people picnicking in our lounge room'(opinions like this are generally ignored) & Mum thinks it would look better in a powder room.
And one of my besties thinks there is just something wrong with it. Honestly . . . what is it that they say about asking for other people's thoughts & opinions!?

Thanks for reading! I love hearing from you.
Here and here are a few more great table setting ideas.

Summer Footwear - THE ICONIC

Check out THE ICONIC

The New Australian Online Desination for Fashion & Footwear.

I've got my eye on these Espadrilles & these loafers for a preppy Summer Look!

And boy do I love a good Hilfiger campaign. They just never get it wrong do they!?

And everyone who is anyone is playing backgammon in the pool this Summer. Obviously.

Lately . . .

There are lots of things happening around this time of year . . .

Henry was a surfer at Noosa last weekend!
His exceptional swimming outfit is from MINI Boutique.
Owned by local mother of 2, Libby Scott. I love the store!
We thought he looked incredibly French . . . he undressed on the beach like the French men too!!

Nanny made a Christmas Wreath for our front gate (the lady has talent!)

And I'm borrowing this idea from Magnolia Interiors & our Christmas Tablecloth will be in this fabric . . . more on that later.
Thinking rafia chargers + black & white ribbon in the mix.
Red, green & gold have had their day wouldn't you agree!?

And since we are showing & telling . . . this is the new wallpaper I have ordered.
Image Hosted by Auctiva
Chinoiserie anyone?
Nervous whether it will look any good on the fireplace but standby on this one.

Some New Nursery Essentials.
I've decided to cover this chair in this pretty floral fabric & use the pink & green gingham for other things in the room.
And add this side table from my newly opened shop So exciting!
I've wanted to have a shop since I started selling things with my friend Becky in grade 5!!

Henry's New Room Ideas
And now Henry is on the move to his new room.
Henry's Room is changing. I still want to keep the wall collection but he will (cross fingers) move to a bed & will need some other things for his room.

Here are the fabrics I am thinking of for a bedhead, bedspread, pillow/cushion.

And with either a red or white cane bedside table from the shop.

And gosh this chair would look pretty great too!
Mum & I often joke that I keep pilfering stock!

That's it for now! Happy Monday everyone.
Thanks for the comments I do love reading them!

Leah's Bridal Shower

I couldn't resist sharing but a few photos from Leah's Bridal Shower held at my house a couple of weekends ago.

As you may have worked out from previous posts . . .I am not a baker.
A crafter - yes, a sewer- trying, but a baker - definitely not!

However, Leah's other friend Amy, she can bake. Raspberry Macarons, Red velvet cake, blueberry tarts, mini quiche, meringues, cupcakes. We were eating sweet treats at our house for the next fortnight! And another friend of Leah's, Karen, is really good at buying champagne en masse.

So add treats, tea & champagne to some well-styled decorations and you get a pretty fabulous Bridal Shower!

More photos to come in a little while.
