Pretty Things Ending 2011

I can't believe 2011 is nearly over! Here are a few pretty pictures for today.
My new chair . . . .I believe Quentin Bryce wore a suit in the same fabric to the royal wedding! I wonder if she'd like to come for afternoon tea . . . and dress in royal wedding attire!

The Christmas Table (the final take!)

Some amazing greenery & berries on Christmas Day!

Nanny's delicious Coconut Ice!

Little gingham shoes I would love for the new baby.

And with all this free leisure time I've been reading the latest Vogue & have discovered Ganim Store in Melbourne . . . online store coming in February. Watch out!

Happy New Year Friends!

All Wrapped Up!

My list seems to be a mile long right now so just a quick one for today!

Have you come across this blog . . . looks like the list just grew a little!

This is our advent calender! Each day Henry & I look inside to find something exciting. These toy glasses are our favourite so far! Henry Potter kept them on just long enough for this photo!

And this is the Christmas wreath Mum & Nanny made last week - so lovely!
And glass balls for the table setting we all voted on here.

Presents finally wrapped today!  Have you seen the new shop in James St, Brisbane called St Barts. I can't stop talking about it!

And here is a VERY exciting Hen's Party project I am styling in January. Love, love, love the ethnic, tribal, bright colour theme going on.

And here is my helper this morning . . . . he fell over hence the grazed chin.
I remember doing this at college after a Jazz night function . . .although I said I was 'pushed'. ha.

The madras shorts & plimsolls are nothing on the peg basket!

Happy Christmas Friends- Thanks for reading & for the kind comments, it has been fun!

If I were a roman . . . .

Pinned Image

If you were a roman . . . blind that is . . .which one would you be?

I'd be this wallpaper but in a fabric with a bright pink border. There is no doubt.

But always so hard to move past this trellis pattern isnt it!?

And the borders here are nice aren't they!

Ivy & Piper Xmas Party!

Don't you love it when you meet people & think . . .'gosh we could've been friends for years!?'

Well, this is how I feel about Mel & Liz from Ivy & Piper.

They are friendly, creative, funny & humble. The kind of chicks you meet while in the bathroom putting lipstick on and then end up sharing your kebab with at 3am! Mel has an innate need to fluff cushions & Liz has the best skin I have ever seen.

Well last night Ivy & Piper had a special Bloggers Party and it was just so beautiful! I actually couldn't concentrate on chatting  . .. their new showroom/work space took my breath away.

I first met Mel & Liz at an Ivy & Piper workshop way back here . . .and ever since, Mum & I have been 'styling' our spaces . . . we laugh about our mild obsession. You should book in for the next workshop . . . .such a valuable thing to do!

Here are some photos from last night. Incredible isn't it.
Thanks Mel & Liz for including me- I had a great time!

Home Grown Fabulousness!

Today I thought I'd share with you some homegrown flowers. Okay so they are not MY homegrown flowers . . . much like baking . . .gardening is also not my forte.

We went to Toowoomba on the weekend for my Grandfather's 80th Birthday Lunch & the hydrangeas (favourite flower of all time) are from Aunty Betty's Garden. And the agapanthus are from Mum's garden.

Nanny's garden is to die for, but I've filled every vase so will hopefully collect from her next time!

What are your favourite flowers!?

March Wedding Project

Inspiration images for what will be a great wedding in March next year!
Choosing a style & sticking with it is often the hardest part of the wedding.
I think I've nailed down a theme here . . . .

We are going with Palm Beach Style/Lily Pulitzer//Mint & Watermelon.
It will be a bright, bold mix of colour, pattern and texture.

Are you feeling it so far!?

I think I am going to do the stripes, add in more colour with flowers & use the material for the lampshade.
That is today's plan anyway!
Have a great weekend.
