The Perfectly Imperfect Home

This is my new favourite book! Domino was my old favourite but I actually like this one better. It is called The Perfectly Imperfect Home by Deborah Needleman. If living in the book was an option then sign me up! Classic pieces & style advice. . . makes you want to toss all that 'frenchy rustic' white & beige & embrace colour, pattern and texture with gay abandon.

Here are some well styled presents Henry & I painted & ribboned yesterday. Mine is way nicer than Henry's would't you say!? I do appreciate his attempt at art though.

And here is my lamp standing tall while I work out which fabric to use!

Things are looking up today. Alice (7 weeks) has been late night partying all weekend and is now sleeping soundly. I used to do this too . .. but I was 21, it was at the Caxton & a slice of New York Pizza was always involved!

Meanwhile . . .what are you doing for Mother's Day?  I think we're working on a stylish picnic. Something like this I hope!

Pyjama Party

Quick post today after a busy weekend!
On Saturday I went to a fabulous Pyjama Party hosted by Ivy & Piper, where they showcased a new range of Pyjamas by Jasmine & Will.

We nibbled on delicious goodies and sipped champagne served by the boys in their designer sleepwear! It was lots of fun!

There is no doubt I'd be much more efficient if my office looked like any one of these!
The last one is my favourite! Which one do you like best?

Things Around The Web

Both children are asleep (sometimes I think I deserve a Logie for achievements such as this)!
And while the LG iRobot (affectionately known as Rhonda) is vaccumming the floors I am indulging in one of my great loves .  . . browsing online.  The illustrations above are by Danielle Kroll. So lovely!

Next up . . . look what I found on Shelter blog. I knew I was onto a good thing with gingham . . . Or Buffalo checks as it is called in this post.

ooooh . . .and spot the Foo Dog. Available here.

And check out these beautiful & affordable fabrics at
Ivy & Piper.

Leave a comment & include your favourite new 'spots' around the web!
Now to enjoy the coffee I have reheated 5 times already!
Did I mention I need a live in nanny.
Have a lovely Wednesday.

More Liebster Love

I must admit I am so slow to pass these on . . . gosh . . . reminds me of the old days when I used to get those chain letters in the mail . . .I'd handwrite 20 letters and send . . . . I vaguely remember even sending a pair of new knickers in the post (the chain assured me I'd get 20 in return!) yeh right.

Anyway . . .

Here are 4 other blogs I have recently been reading and would like to nominate for a LIEBSTER AWARD.

Love Amber's post on pink & red decorating combinations.

Noted Home: a decorating notebook

Rebecca from Iridescent Indigo did a lovely post on role models.

Easter LOVE!

A quick photo of our Easter treat bags ready for family & friends!

It's all about Bunnies in this house . . .this is Alice's Nursery with her embroidered bunny on the chair. And then Alice with her new soft bunny called Emmeline.

Totally unrelated but this is what I have bought myself for Easter.
I have been wanting to try the mixed bangle arrangement for ages!

And here is Sharnel Dollar's beautiful Easter Table.
Everything she does is so perfect! I love her ceramic bunny cake stand.
Happy Easter everyone!
