My love for paper products is no secret. I've raved about cards & invitations here & here. The weight of the cardstock, the type of printing and the quality of the design are all important considerations. And lined envelopes- hard to beat this level of detail!
I know . . .I know . . .gingham again!
And just in case you've forgotten how lovely she looks here is another photo. It's true . . the rug is great but right now we're focusing on the baby!!
And now for more Liebster Love . . .I'd like to pass this award onto Jane from A Jane Day.
The blogs I love & regularly read seem to have a theme . . a little DIY mixed with interior decorating projects, planning a wedding or event along with snippets of daily life. And Jane's lovely blog fits this theme perfectly!
Head on over and take a look . . .

Aaargh it has been one of those mornings . . . .Alice is on my lap while I 'play the drums' on her back trying to relieve what I can only think is frightening wind pain . . . Henry is pulling every paper parasol out of the basket & threatening to throw them over the balcony & Tim has spilt mulch all over the yard so Henry can't go out to play for fear that the black organic material will end up all over my upholstered couches. Here is a photo of what I'm protecting . . dear readers I know you will understand!
So, in other news news, I have been nominated for a Liebster Award by a super blogger named Kate over at The Polkadot Pantry. Very flattering- thanks Kate!
I initally met Kate through blogging & as we've since discovered not only do I love everything she loves we also have a good friend in common . . . a 'real friend, as in not another blogging friend but a real life friend!' I've also decided she is like Martha Stewart only cooler . . .she bakes, she crafts & wears pink lipstick . . .I wonder if all at once!?
Kate's blog is a mix of fashion, interiors, food, events & a bit of this & that which means it's never boring and such a joy to read!
Pop on over to The Polkadot Pantry and see for yourself!
And in the spirit of The Liebster Award I will be passing it on to 5 other favourite blogs. Stay tuned.

Today, I thought I'd show you some pictures of my new lamps. A month before Alice was born I decided to re-do these lamp shades. . . . and banish those plain white shades forever! And after seeing these photos it seems I've definitely got a thing for gingham.
Thanks for the lovely comments about Alice, she is very precious!

This is Alice Maree Kent! She is 10 days old & we are so in love with her.
And here are some photos from my friend Laura's wedding.
I have been working on the style & decorations for some time now & the colours & details in the table cloths, hanging decorations, bridal party outfits, flowers, menus & placecards didn't disappoint! We went for a 50's Palm Beach Style with the main colours being watermelon & mint. The bride dressed by Paul Hunt & the Groom with his madras bow-tie were a knockout. Elva Fields played a role with her signature necklaces for the bridesmaids & Bec from Style My Celebration put together a delicious dessert/cheese table.
Can't wait to see the professional photos!

I'm very excited to be sharing these photos of the recent Bridal Shower I styled.
It was a really fun afternoon tea party for 24 ladies. Mixing traditional china patterns, bold black & white stripes with a touch of neon & gold made the typical high tea style party a little more modern & punchy. And the Bride Questionnaire was a big hit!

I'd love to hear from you!

Matchbook Magazine . . .A Field Guide To A Charmed Life.
I have been following this Online Magazine for a while now & the latest Issue no.14 is spectacular!
My favourite, by far.
Fashion, interiors, cool people, recipes, style boards, weddings & parties . . . it's all there.
The brands they advertise are so delightfully preppy & the styling wonderful. Well worth a read.
Here are some pictures from previous issues to give you a taste!
The matchbook girl...views the world through rose colored glasses • loves to throw dinner parties, but has been known to burn the roast • values eccentricity over convention • is the first to laugh at her own bad jokes • knows the cha-cha, the charleston, and the tango • paints her nails bright coral when she's feeling blue • is infinitely curious • could happily live off of red velvet cake • pens hand written notes to her grandmother • has a signature shade of lipstick • secretly thinks she may be babe paley reincarnated • received an iPAD for her birthday, but will never give up her library card • has a bucket list a mile long and dreams a dime a dozen • is smart, but never a show-off • listens to the day's forecast, but trusts her own intuition • never says no to a sunday matinee at the theater • is quick to blush, but never short of a witty reply • has a skip in her step and a twinkle in her eye • always shares her last piece of gum
