Hold on Christmas!

 

 

 




























Firstly, thankyou to those that read my blog and have purchased LCA baskets, party styling and different pieces of furniture this year! I really appreciate the support & I love the kind emails I get from complete strangers telling me how much they love their LCA basket.  

Over the past week such nice people have called in to collect pieces of LCA furniture.  For me, one of the very best things about blogging is that I get to meet new people who share the same hobbies and interests. It also totally beats daytime TV.

Secondly, can someone tell me what happened to November!? Just tell Christmas we're not quite ready. I'm doing a cowboy party, Dad's birthday party and a christening all in December and would like to start on the Christmas table but it's all coming too soon.  

Here are a few images I've collected this week. Waking up to these hydrangeas is such a treat. Sadly the heat is getting too much for them.

Alice has started crawling & pulling herself up so Henry thinks she's much better value now!

Let me introduce you to a wonderful new business called Copy My Favorite.

Copy My Favorite is a modern day version of an old school seamstress or tailoring service. It was borne out of the desire to provide a quality tailoring service at affordable prices.

Catherine, founder and good friend has spent 7 years living in Jakarta, Singapore and Hong Kong and realised the most common request from visiting friends and relatives was: “Get me to a tailor!”

By providing this service, people no longer need to wait for their next trip to Asia to get their tailoring done.
As the name suggests they make new versions of your old favorite garments, additionally offering Made to Measure, Interior and Wedding services too.

I have had 2 dresses made so far and have this orange fabric lined up for a third! The quality of the sewing is excellent, the fit matches perfectly to my originals, they are fast, extremely reliable and so affordable. Isn't this mint green fabric with embroidered black dots beautiful . . .it's a copy of the dress I wore to Alice's Christening.

And let's not pretend . . .when I choose the fabric and dress style . . .I kind of feel like a fashion designer  . . .even just a little bit!

Our weekend in Sydney

Morning Everyone! Tim & I have just had a fabulous weekend in Sydney without the children!
You might remember this post about our last trip to Sydney.

Things were ALOT more relaxed this time around!
It was a double celebration weekend, my friends baby is due in a month & she had a 'Bambino Celebrazione' and it was our wedding anniversary. I love parties with old friends . . .they are simply the best.


Double Bay is my favourite spot in Sydney. I love the streetscape with it's topiary trees and striped awnings. I love seeing gentlemen wearing ferragamos and drinking morning espressos. It's safe, it's pretty & it's old school.  A highlight for me was the Double Bay festival on Sunday. It took us completely by surprise! Here are some snaps of my weekend & few little purchases.

New favourite shops include: Olivades, Mandalay Flowers and Maison Et Jardin. And of course Sydney Antique Centre.

And the markets were great! I ummed & ahhed about these vintage glasses. Do you ever try something on and think . . . .'Am I cool enough to pull these off!?' . . . .as a 31yr old Mother of two I find I am constantly asking myself this. Hemlines too short, earrings too dangly, fluro too bright . . . but I love these glasses and they fit nicely so they came home with us.

Henry & Alice had a weekend escape to Noosa . . . I do miss them this morning but it's hard to beat a sleep in until 7.30am.
