Monday Morning Chit Chat

We are having a really relaxing, quiet day at home today and for the first time in a long time I don't have a 'to do' list as long as my forearm sitting on the kitchen bench.

It's been a busy start to the year so far with lots going but today we are stranded at home (Tim has my car as I accidentally wiped the Right mirror off while backing out of the garage) and I'm enjoying peace and quiet while Henry & Alice play in their new cubby house.

My new curtains arrived on Friday and I'm really happy with them. They bring so much more depth to the area. Now I'm trying to find some inspiration pictures for curtain tiebacks- Pinterest is offering nothing! You know when you have a picture in mind -  pleated grosgrain blue & white stripe ribbon bordering a shaped, padded piece of the plain blue fabric. Simple but pretty detail. Finding Darth Vader and his buddies hiding behind them this morning was not part of that pretty picture!

Next on the list is Alice's room. She is still in a cot at the moment and I've found her with one leg over the side a couple of times last week. Tim & I are so hesitant about the bed decision as she's 2yrs old now but has only really been sleeping all night since last Christmas. We say to each other (and anyone that will listen) that the worst decision in our lives to date was taking Henry out of his cot at 15mths so we could use it for Alice as a baby  . . . that decision, saving us a total of $200 lead to nearly 2 years of ridiculous sleep for Henry and what can only be described as some sort of 'musical beds' saga starting at midnight and ending at 5am. Tim wants to keep Alice in a cot until she is 15yrs old. I understand his reasoning!

Meanwhile I have picked this fabric for a new slipper chair for her room. I think it will look pretty with this daisy tole light and the pink gingham pelmets that are already in the room.

The LCA Online Shop has been really busy since before Christmas last year.
Our Huge SUMMER SALE continues and while stocks are dwindling there are some wonderful bargains at the moment.

Pop over and have a look online if you are keen to pick up some affordable presents or colourful pretty bits & pieces. I have been busy designing & sourcing new stock for Autumn/Winter which is arriving soon. Keep an eye out for the new LCA Shoes and wallets arriving next month!

If you are like me and would rather a snappy LCA catch up rather than sitting down to read a lengthy blog post you should sign up to Instagram and let yourself be carried away. It is also a fantastic way of 'catching up' with friends all over Australia and the world.
You can see LCA in quick pics here on Instagram or Facebook.

Thanks for sticking with me and enjoy your week ahead!

Love Tina Kent xo
