The Perfectly Imperfect Home

This is my new favourite book! Domino was my old favourite but I actually like this one better. It is called The Perfectly Imperfect Home by Deborah Needleman. If living in the book was an option then sign me up! Classic pieces & style advice. . . makes you want to toss all that 'frenchy rustic' white & beige & embrace colour, pattern and texture with gay abandon.

Here are some well styled presents Henry & I painted & ribboned yesterday. Mine is way nicer than Henry's would't you say!? I do appreciate his attempt at art though.

And here is my lamp standing tall while I work out which fabric to use!

Things are looking up today. Alice (7 weeks) has been late night partying all weekend and is now sleeping soundly. I used to do this too . .. but I was 21, it was at the Caxton & a slice of New York Pizza was always involved!

Meanwhile . . .what are you doing for Mother's Day?  I think we're working on a stylish picnic. Something like this I hope!

  1. Thanks for mentioning that book - I have been eyeing it off for a while on Amazon and think it's about time I bit the bullet and ordered it. Sounds like my kind of style! xx

  2. I've been thinking about getting that book for awhile. Domino is my fave too but might have to get myself a copy of this one!

  3. Oh oh oh! I need to add that book to my birthday wish list. Poor Mum, she won't know where to start with all my 'must-haves'! Love love love Henry's wrapping, what a clever boy! A beautiful post as always, T. Look forward to your picnic planning xxx

  4. Ps. I've heard of this Caxton, maybe that's where I'll find my husband-to-be?!?!

  5. I got my book in the mail Friday and have been loving it!! I need a few more hours in my day just to sit and read it up! So far it's awesome!

  6. I love this book too!
The Caxton hey..... I don't suppose you went to Cafe Neon too?:)

  7. I am going to look out for the book - thanks for the tip!
